Spike Synchronization (easy)
e << 1 (strength of connections)
m << 1 (ratio of fast/slow time scales)
One can show that if m << e << 1 , then two identical
bursters would always exhibit stable spike synchronization.
Whether the synchronization is in-phase, out-of- or anti-
phase depends on the details of the bursting dynamics and
the type of connections; i.e., gap junctions, excitatory or
inhibitory synapses, etc.
