The effect of a doublet (a pair of pulses) depends on its interspike interval relative to the period of the subthreshold damped oscillation of the postsynaptic resonator neuron.
Incoming pulses may add up or cancel each other depending on whether they are resonant or not.
Integrators do not have this property.
